On May 16 at 7 p.m., the Mazet Student Life Center is hosting a new Game Conference, exploring space and the world of exoplanets in video games. Benjamin Charnay, a CNRS researcher specializing in exoplanets and exo atmospheres attached to the Paris Observatory, will immerse us in the world of No Man's Sky and analyze the representation of galaxies and space, the themes of discovering new worlds, and survival.

In this Game Conference, Benjamin Charnay will invite us to reflect on the impact and presence of habitable (or not) worlds in video games, through the analysis of No Man's Sky. This critically acclaimed game allows us to embody a spaceship pilot crossing space to unravel a mystery hidden at the center of the galaxy. This open-world game will give our expert all the pleasure of talking about the various observations and knowledge that his specialization offers him on a daily basis, while reflecting on the narrative and cultural issues of the video game medium. A great conference for anyone interested in the art and culture of video games.
