PariSanté Campus, where e-health is developing
PariSanté Campus is a digital health cluster built around five public operators (PSL, Inserm, INRIA, ANS, Health Data Hub) alongside private partners: large industrial groups, SMEs and startups. Its goal is to make the health of the future a reality.
The aim is:
- To stimulate the production and exploitation of health data for research and innovation;
- To support training for excellence in digital health and the creation of expertise pools;
- To develop applications with a strong economic impact, creating businesses and jobs;
- To improve medical management strategies and the efficiency of the healthcare system, always in the best interest of the patient.
The originality of the project lies in the wide range of disciplines involved in achieving this goal: Biology, Physics, Mathematics, IT, Engineering, Humanities and Social Sciences.
The site in Paris’s 15th arrondissement was inaugurated at the end of 2021 and has at its heart:
A business center offering services specifically adapted to meet the needs of large groups, SMEs and start-ups located on the site.
Four multidisciplinary research and training institutes with complementary approaches:
- An institute specializing in Artificial Intelligence: (Master’s degree courses, Excellence Chairs: Computational Biology, Computational Molecular Oncology, Machine Learning, Computational Statistics, Bioimaging, etc.)
- A cutting-edge research and teaching center for Quantitative Biology: Q-Bio
- An institute working on cutting-edge medical imaging research:
- An institute working at the interface of science, the humanities and social sciences: Institute for Digital Health in Society (Institut Santé numérique en société).
Also, facilities and infrastructure that include:
- A national platform providing easy, unified, transparent and secure access to health data and thus improving quality of care and patient support:
- The (Agence du numérique en santé - ANS), responsible for the digital transformation of the health system in conjunction with all the relevant healthcare, social and medico-social stakeholders, in the private and public sectors, professionals and patients;
- The national research agency for infectious diseases (HIV/AIDS, viral hepatitis, STIs and tuberculosis) and emerging diseases (emerging respiratory infections including Covid-19, viral hemorrhagic fevers, arboviruses, etc.):
- ±õ²Ô²õ±ð°ù³¾â€™s France Cohortes scheme, where the principle is to ensure longitudinal follow-up, at individual level, of a group of subjects in line with a pre-established research protocol.
- ±õ²Ô²õ±ð°ù³¾â€™s technology transfer subsidiary:
At national level, PariSanté Campus forms part of the ecosystem of competitiveness clusters, incubators, and technology transfer structures (Inserm Transfert, PSL Valorisation and INRIA StartUp Studio are stakeholders). It maintains close links with regulatory bodies and health authorities: the French Biomedicine Agency, National Drug Safety Agency, French Blood Agency, National Health Authority, etc. Its aim is to design and sustain a health democracy model based on structured dialogue with patients, patients’ associations and private individuals, and to be able to inform public decision-making. It also aims to maintain a permanent link with the healthcare community so as to identify their needs and ensure proper innovation deployment.
At European level, PariSanté Campus is the place where major research projects can be coordinated. It provides the opportunity to strengthen the many partnerships in health excellence run by the founding public operators (Campus Biotech in Geneva, London Biotech Cluster, etc.) and to federate wider Artificial Intelligence initiatives in the health field.
Looking forward to 2028-2029, this cluster will move to the site of the former Val-de-Grâce military hospital.
